Kejimkujik — Keji for short — protects 404 km² of Acadian forest, quiet lakes and ancient Mi'kmaw cultural sites. Old-growth hemlock, sugar maple and yellow birch border warm-water lakes with quartzite shores. It's the only inland national park in the Maritimes, and the only place in the country that's both a National Park and a National Historic Site.
Paddle the historic canoe routes on Kejimkujik Lake and the Mersey River, where you might spot turtles, beavers and loons. After dark it becomes Nova Scotia's only Dark-Sky Preserve — some of the best stargazing in the province, free of light pollution.
One ticket. A whole national park to wander.

“We took Parkbus’ first trip from Halifax to Keji and what a great experience it was! The amount of time we were given in the park was perfect for a day trip, we did some canoeing, hiking, and our toddler had a great time on the playground. The bus was on time and all staff involved were pleasant and friendly! What a nice way to get out of the city and to one of Nova Scotia’s gems!”Rebecca McLeod · Google Local Guide
